As a Chinese fashion TV producer, editor, writer and presenter, Jane JIANG established the first fashion program Fashion Galaxy in China in 1988.Fashion Galaxy has broadcast more than 750 episodes, syndicated by nearly 100 TV stations across China, including Beijing, Shanghai, and Guangdong.It was recently estimated that more than 150 million people in China have regularly followed Fashion Galaxy! It has become the most popular fashion program, well known to almost every Chinese family and has attracted the attention from the international fashion industry, globally. Fashion Galaxy is regarded publicly, in China, as the most professional fashion program, and certainly with the longest history. Jane, and her program, have earned a highly professional reputation in the international fashion industry promoting international fashion brands to a growing fashion conscious Chinese audience.
        Jane, and Fashion Galaxy, has attracted comments from audiences and both International and China’s Press; “She is the fashion ambassador”, commented Cosmopolitan (Hong Kong). In 1993 Jane was invited by Valentino and Gianfranco Ferre to assist with organizing, promoting and directing the first successful Chic 1993 Fashion Fair in Beijing. The Chic fashion fair has continued every year since 1993 to be a prominent fashion fair of China’s fashion industry events.
        Jane’s internationalism and contribution to the European Fashion Industry in China was further recognized by the French Government and IFM (Institut Francais de la Mode) when she was invited to spend two years studying at the IFM and the La Sorbonne in Paris.
      During the 1998 China Fashion Week, Jane was awarded the first China Fashion Culture prize, and the honour of being ranked as the top Chinese Fashion Critic in 1998. In 2003, Jane was honored again by winning the Contribution Prize for Progresses and Developments by the magazine World Fashion Dynamics, in China. Also in 2003, Jane received the top prize for the Fashion Style Award..
     Jane’s unofficial mantle of “Fashion Ambassador” is born out of her impressive list of Countries, Fashion Weeks and events. Jane is regularly invited to be on panels for awards and to judge young, up and coming fashion designers, from Dublin to Hong Kong.
      Jane has been cited as having been the biggest single influence on Chinese fashion tastes and styles in recent years. The contents of Jane’s program; 80% of it is related to Europe, includes fashion, fashion designers, culture and life styles. Jane has personally interviewed the likes of  Karl Laferfeld, Jean Paul Gautier, John Galliano, Pierre Cardin, Michael Kors, Valentino, Gianfranco Ferre, Vanda  Ferragamo, and Vivienne Westwood, to name but a few.
